 ”Good modern hotel. Centrally located”

Stayed here for a couple of nights in early September. Well located walking distance to the city centre with some nice restaurants (Rama Thai and Bon appétit) nearby. Hotel is modern, well designed, good views of the river and bridge. Parking is a bit tricky - on street is short and dear. Best is to go past the hotel, turn left into Gellatly street and left again into the public car park and go up to the third floor where there's a sign for the holiday inn and a small bridge leading straight into the hotel - couldn't be closer once you suss it out. Also reception has cheaper parking Vouchers. Recommended

”Good for a short stay”

The hotel suited us for an overnight stay - good location, free car park across the road (after 6.00pm and before 8.00am). Breakfast basic but again for what you pay very acceptable. The room was clean and the staff friendly and helpful.

”Perfectly sited for the city centre museums and the Discovery”

With direct access from the car park this hotel could not have been more convenient to reach. Out of the front door it was 2 minutes from Dundee's excellent shops and museum and only 10 minutes from the Discovery, whose masts can be seen from the lounge window and some of the bedrooms. 
The room was basic but had everything most people would need, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom, like the room was spotless. 
The complimentary breakfast  was in my view excellent with hot croissants and pain au chocolate, toast you made yourself, sausages and scrambled eggs. The cappuccino from the help yourself machine was also good.
When Dundee's new waterfront expansion and Victoria and Albert Museum opens in 3 years I doubt you will be able to get a room in this hotel unless you book well in advance.
There is free Wi-Fi in the lounge, I was lucky my room was over the router and

unexpectedly I had service there as well.

 ”Absolutely Fine”

Stayed on a short family trip. Central location, clean, modern, friendly staff and good value. Nice bar / lounge area with big picture windows. Would definitely stay again.
